be merry.

we have had a blast this december.
we took the train to san diego to visit uncle matt and future aunt michelle.
the train ride was delayed due to a train that had derailed the night before but
the boys were champs, despite the 6 hours spent on a train in one day.

we did some holiday baking.
we made home made marshmallows which turned out awesome!
 in san diego...
what a fun day!
 baby wrapping at its finest.
little man was so tired and our train stopped for about forty minutes,
owie was exhausted but settled right in and went to sleep once i wrapped him.
papa and wyatt waiting for the train.
owen looking out the window, he was so excited and curious!
 wyatt checking the waves...
always eating, the only time he sits still!
 crazy face.

uncle matt, wyatt, aunt michelle and bun in the oven....
santa was nervous about this one!
owen was terrified, poor guy.
wyatt told santa in detail everything he wanted, he was such a big boy.
 wall art.
i used fabric scraps and modge podge.
i really love this wall!
owen was upset because i put him in his crib for this picture,
he never uses his crib.
chalk board paint with a frame i got from a flea market...
and wyatt wrote his name!
christmas eve was so much fun.
family came over and we opened gifts, the boys made out like bandits!

owen loved loved loved christmas! he was so full of joy
and amazement. he was christmased out by noon.
christmas night my bff and her husband and bun in the oven came and stayed the night.
i was so happy to spend time with them, i love them to death.
i can't believe this year is coming to an end.
i am happy and relieved.
i feel like 2014 will only be better and more magical.
i've learned a lot this year, completed a semester of school and raised
two beautiful boys who just won't stop growing!
i'm ready for 2014.

life is wonderful.

wow. this past week zoomed by.
it was a tad bit stressful and also fun.
my car had been undrivable for a few weeks now and
i've been looking into all of my options.
my sister jumped on board and started calling dealerships
and really working hard to get me a good deal.
she did just that!
i drove home my first ever brand new car yesterday afternoon!
i am madly in love.
i want to drive everywhere!

wyatt's birthday last weekend turned out great.
more people came than rsvp'd but that's ok, it was great.
i realized though that i am the world's worst party planner.
i'm serious.
but no one seemed to care, and we all had fun.
wyatt had a blast and got many wonderful gifts.

last week i stayed with penny and oliver while my sister celebrated her birthday in vegas.
i got the kids off to school for their last day of school.
my nieces esme` and zadie were also down for the weekend.
it was busy weekend!

the past week...

wyatt william

i can't believe this time 4 years ago i was anxiously waiting for my little wyatt to come into the world.
it was today 4 years ago, that my doctor told me to meet him at the hospital the next day at 7am
i was being induced.
i remember feeling excited and scared all at once.
it was really happening. this was it.
i showed up to the hospital at 7am like i was told. i forgot the baby bag and my hospital bag.
in fact i had never even packed anything,
i had been running around the house doing absolutely nothing.
i was  out of my head with excitement, fear, nerves, amazement.
this was it.

the nurses told me that i wasn't in labor and that i would be sent home because the rooms were full.
i had so much going on in my head.

my doctor came into the room at about 830 am and broke my water in a hurry, he told the nurses that it was coincidental, i had just happened to go into labor--yes he lied and the nurses knew it.
they made a joke about how this happened to all of his patients.
he was so sneaky.
they started pitocin at about 930am
wyatt was born at 245pm weighing 8lbs 11ounces and 21 inches long
he had red fuz on his head and was all smooshed
he was all mine and i was in love.

wyatt is sweet and loving, he loves to cuddle.

he's artistic and observant, he soaks up all of his surroundings and is constantly learning

his dreams are big

he's silly and rambunctious , he's hilarious

he's a rascal

wyatt is THE BEST big brother. ever.

he's adventurous and imaginative. he is brilliant.

he loves adventures, being outdoors, exploring every detail and searching every crack.

he loves life.

he is funny, whitty, loving and sarcastic. he remembers everything.

one of wyatt's long hikes, when it was just the 2 of us

always exploring

never intimidated, always brave.

handsome.

wyatt is one of a kind, he's unique and feisty, spontaneous and a true comedian. he was born with a large amount of confidence and kindness.

happy birthday wyatt.
i'm so proud of you for always being so kind to your baby brother
for being  so smart and loving. you are amazing.
love, mom

lovin' some lovin'

im loving everything right now.
all of my life. it's way too good.
i feel like i don't even have the right to complain or wish things could be different because i am so lucky to have things the way they are. there is too much good in my life not to be thankful for it.

we've been doing a lot of gardening lately, gettin our hands dirty!
wyatt is lovin' it!
i am going to look into a co-op pre-school on monday for wyatt, i am so excited that i can't wait.
i think he is beyond ready for it. i can't believe that my baby wyatt is going to be 4 in june, time flies, it seriously does. it flies by at lightening speed. it's terrifying. another reason to love your life and be greatful.

i didn't really make any new years goals or anything like that, i normally wait until after.
that's a lie.
i normally don't even make any.
however, i am going to make some goals now.
simple ones.
  • i'm going to journal more, well... i'm going to start one so i can keep track of important and special things in my life and the boy's lives. i think it's amazing to be able to look back and see what was happening in your life.
  • i'm going to (try) not to use any plastic bottles. i am going to be better at re-using and recycling. although i have to admit i pretty much rock at recycling, but there is ALWAYS room to improve right?!
  • i'm going to be more grateful and appreciative of other people and what they do for me.
  • i'm going to practice being more forgiving, i forget easily but i don't forgive quite as easily, especially my self.
  • be present. just be.

boys are pretty much amazing.
i love the random growling and the ability to bust out hot wheels cars anywhere and make tracks and ramps out of everything!
they don't have volume control. at all. they are always on high volume, even during all of the quiet parts in a movie.
they love their mama more than anything, mama's boys all the way.
their energy just don't quit! ahhh!
they enjoy some serious conversation about poo-poo and pee-pee, and making farting noises is second nature. boogers are cool not gross, and they prefer to wipe them on someone definitely not in a tissue (ewwww!). they climb everything and enjoy anything that is going to make their mother hold her breath. they prefer dirt baths to regular baths and anything can be turned into a weapon, yes even their mother's makeup.
nail polish is fun, but not in the conventional way. maybe to decorate some match box cars or paint their walls with.
they always know what they want, even when they aren't sure and they always--yes always--know where they are headed.
boys are amazing.
i got this new wrap because it was on sale at target.
i don't love it, i think i can make a better one. i'll show you when i do it :)
owie is at the age he can eat food!
so exciting.
wyatt is a big helper in the kitchen, he loves making owie's baby food.
with a food processor there is no excuse not to make your own baby food! it cost me about $4 to make a few weeks worth of organic baby food. you can freeze it, my brilliant sister freezed the baby food she made in ice cube trays and just popped them out as needed!
plus you can get all fancy with your mixtures! make your baby go mmmm!!

 happy saturday!
we are enjoying the sun staying out later to play with us! yay!

oh yeah...
this happened!!!!!

crazy right? 5 months already. wowzers.
like i always say, time is a'flyin!
